About the Artist
Lauren Schnarr created her first painting in 1997. Five solo shows and several group shows later she has painted over 800 works and gained a national reputation for her expressive style.
She prefers to paint wet on wet with swift movement and loose brush strokes. For subject matter, she likes anything that brings forward movement and emphasis of colour to the canvas.
"I believe that colour connects with our senses, emotions, and memories. My work is more about harmonizing colour to create an image than the defining image itself. Every image, whether it be impressionistic or abstract, is painted for the love of colour and the important role it brings to the spaces we live and work in," says Lauren.
